Dapoxetine Hydrochloride is the drug from the SSRI – Selective
Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors and has comparatively the shorter half
life which means the plasma in patients gets the drug faster and the
plasma levels are normal again after one or two hours. Like any
other medications, Dapoxetine Hydrochloride too is likely to show
several side effects. For this very reason and since this is the
prescription medication anyway, it is rather advisable to take this
drug only as directed by the physician.
The most commonly reported and experienced side effects after taking
Dapoxetine Hydrochloride are such as:
• Nausea noticed in almost 8.7 percent of males taking lower dosage
and nearly 20.1 percent of males taking higher dosage of Dapoxetine.
• Headache has been reported in 5.9 percent of men administered low
dosage while 6.8 percent of patients complained of headaches who
were taking high dosage.
• Nearly 6.8 percent of males taking high dosage of Dapoxetine
Hydrochloride reported diarrhoea.
• While 6.2 percent of males consuming this drug in higher dosages
complained of experiencing dizziness.
However, during the study phase of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride 100 mg
group [16.1 percent] the side effects transpired with greater
recurrence as compared to that of the group with 60 mg [5.6 percent]
and placebo [0.7 percent] groups. Based on such response and
tolerable permissibility, the 60 mg dosage was preferred for the
continuing large scale studies. The overall studies concluded though
Dapoxetine Hydrochloride was helping in premature ejaculatory
disorders, it should be assessed for its other side effects.
